How do users be able to connect to the JJIS Central Repository?
Three main items are needed to use the JJIS: Workstation — If you are using one of the desktop applications developed for the JJIS, you will need a workstation based on the standards set by KCJIS with Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 / 2000 operating system, and Microsoft Office Professional. If you are an authorized user but are not using a JJIS application, your Microsoft Internet Explorer Web browser version 5.5 or higher will access the JJIS. Security JJIS will use much of the same security system as the KCJIS system. All users, prior authorized by JJA Central Office, will be issued security tokens (key-ring-compatible devices that randomly generate pass codes)) and must have an account with the JJIS to log on to the system.
