How do u fly a glider in flight simulator 2004?
Gliders gain altitude by flying into thermals and updrafts, thermals are found over large flat areas and updrafts are found along hills and ridges. Not sure if you can turn on thermal and updraft visibility in FS2004, (you can in FSX, so you should be able to) once you find and fly into a thermal or updraft, you will need to circle around within the thermal to gain altitude (be careful to not try to lift the nose too much, you may stall and fall out of the thermal, just keep circling until you are high enough to make a glide to the next thermal/updraft.) Usually in a FSX glider mode you will get either a tow launch or a winch launch, both of these will provide your gliders initial altitude and airspeed, then after release its up to you.
