How do u become an ambulance technician/assistant?
To be an emergency medical technician (EMT) you need to take a 1-2 month full or part time class. You can robably take it through your local community college. If they don’t offer it check with your local Police, fire, or EMS department. Try EMS first, they will probably know. After you take the class and pass your test you can apply for a job at almost any ambulance service. Some states require that you have Emergency Vehicle Opperators Course (EVOC), and many services require Basic Trauma Life Support (BTLS) and Pediatric BTLS. EVOC, BTLS, and PBTLS are all courses that you should be able to find, and most only take a few days to complete. If you have any questions about EMT class or working in EMS feel free to email me.
