How do Turtles have Babies?
Turtles have babies by laying eggs. Sea turtles arrive at the shoreline and dig a hole in the sand, where they can deposit anywhere from 60 to 100 eggs in a single night. Once the eggs have been laid, the nest is covered with sand and the turtle will return to the ocean. The eggs will hatch on their own some time later and the newborns will head for the ocean.
