How do tilt-up building costs compare to other types of construction?
Just as with other types of buildings, costs vary widely depending on size and amenities. As a general rule, tilt-up buildings will cost a bit more than metal buildings and about the same or less than masonry buildings. Pre-cast panels provide competition for tilt-up in some areas, but tilt-up should be cheaper than pre-cast if the tilt-up walls are used as bearing walls and if an experienced tilt-up contractor is available to do the work.
