How do Tibetan Buddhists practice (what do they believe)?
First, there are a few different sects in the Buddhist Culture and different yet similar views on the Doctrine. In Tibetan Buddhism the main focus is to learn from the teachings of the elders from text how to learn how to live life in peace with the least amount of suffering as possible by making Wise Decisions and not being lead into a unhealthy spiritual demise by unskillful thinking, living and decision making. They believe that consciousness is EVER PRESENT and eternal that shift different states of consciousness that they call BARDO’S.. They focus on learning how to be on the highest level of awareness in the different states of consciousness. They focus alot on the teachings of Padmasambhava, and a text he composed called Liberation Through Hearing During The Intermediate State. They spend most of their lives preparing for an Easy Transition from the intermediate state which is believed to happen right after death.
