How do those affected by the Boundary Alignment changes influence the transition process?
The four Regional Planning Committees in the Hume broadly discussed the impact of the Boundary Alignment Project in October/November 2009. The Area Management Team will lead the consultation process working directly with affected Brigades/Groups including VFBV delegates and decision making process within the Hume. Individual volunteers and Brigades are able to provide their input through their Group. A separate arrangement agreed between General Managers of the Outer Metro Nor’ West, Midlands Wimmera, North East and North West Areas involves the Area which is losing Brigades and Groups hosting an initial contact meeting between them and the gaining District and Region staff. These meetings have allowed introductions to be made and issues to be raised. After the initial meeting the gaining District Operations Manager will lead the transition process in consultation with the Group Officer and Captains.
