How do things work with the 3-stream (Wet, Dry, Waste) system in Guelph?

0

The University of Guelph is not on the 3-stream system. The main differences between the systems on and off campus are that the University does not separate out the Wet compostables from our garbage stream, which, like Waste off-campus, takes all miscellaneous items not listed as Recyclable, Wet, or Hazardous. The main differences in the on-campus Recyclables stream are that Styrofoam, aka, polystyrene (plastic number 6) and most polycoat are NOT accepted. On campus, items in the Styrofoam and polycoat categories (take-out food containers, disposable dishware, all disposable coffee cups) must go into the Garbage stream.
