How do they use technology with learners in their classroom?
As mentioned above, this teacher used computers quite a bit for class activities, projects, and homework assignments. Because he was reluctant to go to the computer lab, and he only had two computers, he was forced to differentiate his learning when creating activities that used the computer. When two groups were learning on the computer, another several groups would be working on a writing portion of the project, or listening to a lecture. He would even have students make whole presentations using overheads, which would then be presented to the class. Who are the technology leaders in the school who can help facilitate use of technology in the classroom? As I mentioned above, this teacher was computer/technology savvy and so was often able to deal with technology issues on his own. However, the media center was important in providing software that he needed for his computers (Encarta, Social Studies tutorials etc).
