How do they make artificial snow?
The method for artificial snow in theater/movies is very different from ‘artificial’ snow on the ski slopes. For skiing, they take a machine that sprays a very fine spray of water out over the slopes in exactly the right temperature and angle to for snowflakes. It is ‘real’ snow artificially created. In the movies/stage, they use confetti, soap flakes, starch spray, plastic flakes, foam or even liquid spray similar to the ski snow with a special formula for indoors.
