How do they choose a community service project?
ยท Project DREAMS strives to build a sense of social responsibility in all its members, including college and high school participants. The DREAMS scholars, along with their mentors, plan their own community service project in their community (Perry and Ames). The scholars were involved in the entire process, which consisted of proper project proposal, project evaluation and selection, and finally project development and implementation. We believe that engaging the scholars in this experience will motivate them to become agents of change and active advocates in their communities.
