How do these three small bones in the ear help transmission of sound?
the bones pick up the movement/vibration of the eardrum which is caused by movement of air. between the movement of these three bones the sound vibration is amplified in intensity. the bones then move via the stapes in the oval window, causing movement of the fluid in the cochlea which then transmits this to the auditory nerve to the brain.
