The new services represent a total redesign of the iPass offerings built on the entirely new iPass Open Mobile Platform. The cloud-based platform enables iPass, its customers and its partners to rapidly add new and existing services, devices and networks, without requiring changes in infrastructure or disrupting the mobile worker’s connectivity experience. iPass is also delivering a new always-on lightweight connection management service. The redesigned interface is simple to use. It operates in the background, and often times the employee will never need to interact with it. The iPass Mobile Connect service can orchestrate policy-based Internet and Corporate access enabling the iPass Open Mobile Client to become the connection manager of choice, and iPass to provide real-time cost control and intelligence at the point of connection.
