I’d be glad if the Greeks developed a good sense of identity. Feynman said that on his visit there they all seemed to be looking back to their ancient great age as something they would never reach again – and that it was almost blasphemy to suggest otherwise. That’s a sad situation for people who measured the size of the planet in the BCE.
