How do the Tiger Institute and the strategic alliance with Cerner support University Health System core mission to heal, teach and discover?
A core component of the Tiger Institute’s mission is to improve patient care, advance patient outcomes and enhance patient safety in University Health System’s hospitals and clinics. It will provide medical residents, fellows and students in the medicine, nursing and the allied health professions with training in a leading-edge automated health care delivery system. It also will provide a living laboratory to develop new health care solutions and test ideas for ways to improve the way health care is delivered. Innovations jointly developed between the University and Cerner can be made commercially available to other health care providers, and the revenues from such innovations will be shared by the University and Cerner.
