How do the systems of the human body work?
Tasks: The students will investigate the different body systems with other students using a variety of tools; Internet, encyclopedias, books. They will collect and organize data and information to present in the form of an informational paragraph to be places in a HyperStudio project. Students will complete a life size body poster illustrating the location in the body of the various systems they researched. Students will draw illustrations of the system they researched. Situations: Students will work during the school day with in the classroom, and during optional lunch time. Students will work in groups of four, each person being responsible for one of the body systems we investigated: Muscular/skeletal, Digestive, Respiratory or Circulatory. Interactions: Students will choose the body system that they are interested in researching. Groups of four will be formed so that there is a representative of each system in each group.
