How do the star ratings work for shoes?
When you view the home page of a collection, you will see that each pair of shoes in the collection has a set of stars below it. This is the shoe’s average star rating, that displays the average value of all the star ratings that other Fantastic Toe members have applied to the shoe. For example, if 3 members have rated the shoe, and the first rated it with 1 star, the second rated it with 3 stars, and the third rated it with 5 stars, the shoe’s average star rating would be 3 stars. If you click the “view/rate” button beneath the photo of any shoe, you will have the opportunity to add your vote to the shoe’s average star rating. (You must be logged in to rate a shoe.) The window that displays will have a series of stars next to the label “rate these shoe”. If the stars are empty, it means that you have not yet rated this shoe; if the stars are filled-in, it means that you have previously rated this shoe with the displayed value. In either event, you can click on these stars to rate, or
