How do the Responses in Headnotes differ from the Articles or Essays published in the Minnesota Law Review?
With Headnotes we strive to provide online content to complement the print editions of the Minnesota Law Review. Currently, this content takes the form of Response pieces: short essays, 1500–4000 words, lightly footnoted, that respond to a particularly timely or novel Article or Essay appearing in our print issues. Because Response pieces are shorter and less formal, the shorter editing process allows us to include more timely topics.
