How do the nutrients found in ViaGalTM increase the level of human growth hormone (HGH) in our body?
Our pituitary gland secretes HGH and the secretion is under control of two hypothalamic hormones, growth hormone releasing hormone (GHRH or agonist of HGH release) and Somatostatin (SS or antagonist of hGH release). GHRH promote the release of HGH by the pituitary gland while SS inhibit HGH secretion. When we were young, the balance (i.e. homeostasis) between these two hormones was well co-coordinated. But as we getting older and older, for unknown reasons (possibly genetic), the level of SS increase significantly while GHRH decrease slightly. Due to those reasons, particularly the drastic increase of SS, the level of HGH decreases. ViaGalTM contains amino acids (particularly Arginine and Ornithine) that will act on hypothalamus by binding to its receptors to reduce the level of SS, therefore it promotes the release of HGH by the pituitary gland, not stimulate the extra production of HGH.
