When you tap the METRO Q® Fare Card on the METRO Q® Box, the reader instantly interacts with the chip in the smart card – and the appropriate fare will be debited from your balance. You will be able to add money to your METRO Q® Fare Card by visiting a participating retail location, METRO RideStores, METRO Ticket Vending Machine (TVM), a Credit Vending Machine (CVM) at Transit Centers and some Park & Ride locations and a bus METRO Q® Fare Card Reloader will be onboard local buses.
