How do the Kompass classification codes work?
You can select the following options to output executives for each company record being downloaded: Kompass classification codes are structured to three different levels. 2 digit codes enable searching at Industry level. 5 digit codes enable searching at Market level and finally 7 digit codes enable detailed product searching. There are approximately 41,000 different 7 digit (detailed product) headings included on the CD. e.g. 2 digit code (Industry Sector) = 34 Basic Metal Products 5 digit code (Market Sector) = 34.21.0 Light Metal Alloys 7 digit code (Detailed Product) = 34.21.0.
