How do the heralds determine that a name is different enough from another?
This is similar to the question on armory (see above), but differences between names are handled in a different manner than armory. There are no “points” per se, but the following guidelines (again, take from the Rules for Submission) will help you out: First, a few terms: Personal names are defined as a given name and at least one byname. A byname is added to a given name to further identify the bearer of the name. Each of these is called a name phrase.
