How do the Hands free” security systems actually operate?
The Digital Guard Dawg Smart Relay as the name implies has a relatively high degree of intelligence designed to understand and anticipate the user actions. The system has a typical range of about 10′ feet. Both the systems Dawg Tag and Smart Relay have independent processors with there own logic and timer routines. When the Smart Relay completes a handshake with a valid (programmed) Dawg Tag the Smart Relay’s processor Authorizes switching the ignition or start circuit ON, but does not actually turn the circuit ON until it sees the rider try and start the bike by pushing the bikes Start Button. Once a valid Dawg Tag has been seen and the bike is started, the bike will continue to operate even if communication is lost with the Dawg Tag. In other words, if you dropped your Dawg Tag while riding, your bike will continue to run. But once you stop and the bike’s Stop/Run switch or Ignition switch is turned OFF, the Smart Relay timer begins and re-arms the system 30 seconds after your Dawg T
