How do the filters work in Ventrilo?
The filters in Ventrilo can be found under the Server Admin/Server Properties menu. In order to create, edit, or delete filter settings on the Server Properties page, you must first log on as the Server Administrator. On the bottom left hand side of the window, you will see a box titled Spam filters. Ventrilo offers 5 different filter features including Chat, Comment, Wave, TTS, and Channel. If you click on the Chat filter under Spam filters, you will see that there are three entry boxes titled Action, Interval, and Times. All 5 different types of Spam filters use these settings to determine which communication actions should be filtered out on your Ventrilo server. Under the Action setting, you have the option to “Do Nothing, Kick the User, or Ban the User” depending on which you prefer. Under the Interval setting, you will notice numbers ranging from 500 to 60,000.
