How do the dual-wall nasal pillows make it more comfortable?
The Swift LT incorporates dual-wall nasal pillows, which serve several purposes. First, the pillows have increased sealing capabilities and secondly, they are more comfortable to the patient. The pillows diffuse or break up the airflow creating a much more comfortable delivery of therapy. The dual-wall pillows can be equated to the sprinkler setting on a garden hose when relating them to the diffusion of airflow. Although the patient receives the same prescribed pressure, it feels much more comfortable than if it were delivered through single-wall pillows.
