How do the different models sound?
The way humans listen to the sound of a pickup is a very complex thing. Different people listen to, and focus on different elements of the sound, so there is no ONE way to describe it that everyone can relate to. Some listen to the attack (transient amplitude & rise/decay time), others the warmth of the mids, transparency of the trebles, bite of the twang or cut of the presence and some focus on the qualities of the lows and overall tone. There are even some who block out fret rattle while others are driven crazy by it. The best and simplest way seemed to be to describe the most outstanding features that set the various models apart and forget about trying to put across the subtle nuances. You simply decide what you want most from a set of pickup and select the one that gives it to you based on key word in Chris’s descriptions. You’ll find those on the models page.
