How do the Conduct Officer and the Conduct Committee differ?
Hearings with the Conduct Officer and hearings with the Conduct Committee are very similar. The primary difference is that the hearing with the Conduct Officer is likely to happen more quickly (it often is held immediately following the informational meeting); it takes longer to schedule hearings with the Conduct Committee due to the number of people on the Committee. In both cases the hearing is informal and closed to the public. In both cases the information in the hearings remains confidential. In both cases hearings can result in any outcome, ranging from not responsible to suspension/expulsion.
