How do the blinds work if someone new joins a table?
If someone joins a game late (either through the waiting list or by showing up late), that player posts the Big Blind (BB) regardless of where he/she sits. If someone gets moved from another table during the game, then he/she does not have to post a BB unless he/she sits in the BB spot. (It’s possible that he/she would have to post a BB twice in a row if he/she came from another table and just posted the BB there.) If someone sits in the Small Blind (SB) spot after joining from another table, he/she has a choice to either play and post the SB, or sit out one hand and let the deal pass him/her.
