You have to be more specific with this question. Ecosystems vary from area to area. And by you saying biotic and abiotic components, you’re basically saying everything. An answer in the most simplistic form would be that biotic components can decompose and thus complete the circle of life. Abiotic components can change the dynamics because if they are decomposable, they usually will take a much, much longer time, if at all.
