How do the BCBS Low and High plans work when I have a baby?
• On the BCBS Low and High plans, in-network prenatal care for the mother is covered at 100%, with no deductible. The cost of services for the delivery will be applied towards the mothers deductible. Once the deductible has been met the remaining cost of services for the mother will be covered at 100% (in-network). On the BCBS High plan, the deductible for two-party or family coverage is embedded. This means the mothers services will be covered at 100% after she has reached $2,650. Well baby care is covered at 100%, including circumcision. Any additional charges for the baby will be applied to the family deductible. The Explanation of Benefits will indicate what services and charges were for the mother and the baby.
