How do the basemaps compare on the different Garmin Oregon models?
contributed by rwsmith123 The basemap for the 400t contains the following: • Worldwide map that contains borders of countries and some large cities, also contains some DEM. • Americas basemap with major highways and interstates, also contains DEM info. • The basemap is not autorouting. The basemap for the 400i contains the following: • Worldwide map that contains low resolution satellite imagery for the entire world, no DEM • Americas basemap with major highways and interstates, with medium resolution imagery for the Americas visible down to the 5m zoom level, no DEM • The basemap is not autorouting. The basemap for the 300 contains the following: • Worldwide map that contains borders of countries and some large cities, also contains some DEM. • Americas, Pacific, and Atlantic basemaps with major highways and interstates and DEM. • The basemap is autorouting but for some reason the autorouting data cannot be used by the Oregon (it can be used by a Nuvi). • An America’s Weather map whic
