How do the B2P products compare with traditional testing?
The basic principle of B2Ps product range is to quantify the level of bacteria present (currently total coliforms and E. coli) within various substances on site and in real time, without the hassle of transporting (thereby risking the integrity of) the sample, waiting days for a result, nor the multi level complications of potential contamination and sub sampling of lab testing. However, the B2P results have of course been calibrated with those obtained by traditional lab techniques (including agar plates) and MPN (most probable number). The tests can be done by anyone, at anytime and in the most remote or central of locations. The information is then logged digitally and sent to your database immediately (or retrievable by USB memory stick), and alarms or SMS alerts sent, all within 3 hours (for < 1 E. coli per 100mL) from the time the sample was taken.
