How do tax preparation services make money between each tax season?
There is a whole bunch of things to do for CPAs and Tax Preparators between tax seasons, like (among others): -Calculate the monthly sales tax of retail or reseller businesses and prepare the forms. -Help people that filed for extensions to prepare their forms. -Help self-employees to calculate and file monthly or quarterly tax payments, so they won’t have to pay the entire amount on April. -Help companies file for EINs (employee identification numbers) and other formalities when establishing a new firm. -Do accounting services in general, and of course calculate employee taxes and deductions, workers comp and other related. -Prepare forms for companies that are closing and want to get rid immediatly of about their estate and federal tax liabilities. Of course they make a very good part of their income on the tax season, but as you can see they are busy the rest of the year too.
