How do symbolic actions help Muslims contact with God?
Which symbolic actions are you talking about? Praying 5 times a day is not a symbollic action, it’s an action action, no matter the religion. Prayer becomes symbolic when it has no meaning in it. Some Christians, Jews, Muslims, and so forth, all suffer from this problem of estrangement from their faith and recite standardized or memorized prayers without paying much attention in their minds to the meanings they are saying. And then there are those who are making spiritual connection during prayer whether a standardized one or original, because either way they are contemplating meaning and praying from the heart. Muslims don’t sway during prayer and true Muslims (the billion who are not in a militant organization) don’t blow up anything. I see the hatred is out early this morning.
