How do surface currents affect climate?

0

The oceans which cover most of the earth effect the surface wind currents. These days with ozone depletion the algae in the water is burnt away. This coupled with the melting icecaps cause the ocean temperature to rise.If the ocean temperatures as a whole rise just a degree or two unusual weather patterns happen over land masses. We see that happening with droughts, colder and hotter weather, hurricanes, tornados, and floods.
