How do supervising physicians document their presence?
Generally, there is no requirement to specifically document the physician’s presence in the clinic or in the building. Important: Several payors (including Medicaid) require the physician not only to be present, but also to sign the chart in order for the service to be billable. However, as stated below, the Physician must always sign the chart for PA services.
