How do students apply for merit scholarships?
A. Most of our scholarship recipients are selected based on their admissions applications. These students are awarded a $12,500 or $15,000 University Scholarship, a $20,000 Canadian Merit Scholarship or a $20,000 Sesquicentennial Scholarship. Three of our scholarship programs require an additional essay and form to supplement the complete admissions application. They are: Vilas (for students interested in business), Community Service, and Presidential Diversity (for students of color who are academic and co-curricular leaders). One of our scholarships, Augsbury-North Country, is limited to students from certain high schools and requires the school’s nomination.
