Each year the more than 1,000 registered student organizations at the university provide invaluable experiences and opportunities for students to grow as individuals, leaders and community members. These organizations sponsor conferences, seminars, lectures, debates, cultural and social events, fine arts programs and volunteer activities. The events and programs allow UT Austin students to meet and to interact with local, state and nationally renowned scholars, artists, politicians, academicians and other professionals.
