How do stories, reviews, and story comments get posted to a group?
When group members post, review, or star a story on NewsTrust, that story will be added to the group automatically. Then any review, star, or comment on that story by a group member will be posted to the group’s activity feed, and the story’s Group Rating will be calculated. • A story will only appear on a group activity or story listing if it has been reviewed, posted or starred by a group member. • If a group member comments on a story on our site, this story will NOT appear in groups they belong to, unless it has been posted, reviewed, or starred by a group member. • If a member leaves a group, all stories reviewed, posted, or starred by that member are removed as well.
From the “Membership” drop-down menu, you can designate whether the group should be “Open to All,” which creates a “Join this group” button on the group page, or “Invitation-Only.” In both membership modes, you can add members manually using the “Members” panel, or email them a link to an invitation page provided to you by a NewsTrust staff member.
