How do snakes survive in the desert?
Snakes are able to survive in the desert because they have adaptive features which enable them to live in their habitant. These features include: having water tight scales (this enables them not to loose water) and having the ability to hibernate (this helps their body temperatures to go down). Snakes also have a facial pit between the nostril and the eyes which acts like a temperature-differential receptor.
