How do self-healing cutting mats work?
These mats have to be purposely and intentionally destroyed. Normal use will not render them unusable. You can wipe them clean and continue to use them the minor cuts will not hamper you. They just last longer and cannot be cut into with proper use. Eventually you will replace them. Sources: I own 2 cutting mats and they show wear but still are very usable.
