How do selection pressures cause a “random” genetic mutation?

0

Genetic mutations are not the result of selection pressure. Mutations happen, most make no difference at all, of the remainer almost all of them are bad, and the animals that have these will most likely die before they can reproduce. The mutations that do advantage an animal are far more likely to allow it succeed and reproduce to pass on these genes. What determines whether these genes are good or bad is the selection pressure.
