How do scissor lifts work?
Scissor lifts work in much the same way as many of the other lifts and mechanism which have been previously discussed on this website do. The scissor part of the name refers to a concertina-style folding arm which extends or folds in on itself to raise or lower the table or bucket at the top of the hydraulic lifting arm; this arm can be extended to different heights- depending on how far the scissor arm is unfolded- and this allows different tasks to be carried out by the same contraption.
