How do rockets work in space?

0

They use oxidizers in the fuel so they can burn it in space. Rockets have two tanks. One which either carries liquid hydrogen or liquid oxygen and the other will carry rocket fuel which is usually kerosene. A measured amount is pumped into the combusion chamber and they mix together and burn creating the thrust they need to propel themselves.
