mark and cut out ur section, install timber to inside wall (screw if timber frame,compressed anchors if conc.)either side of stud.finish your timber(thick as you can)to the inside edge of the p.board,screw your p.board back on the timber with drywall screws,you can buy appropriate bonding for the gap,tape to cover joints and filler to fill and sand flush the edges. screw only at edges so tape will cover.take your time an old handsaw is an easy clean way to cut plasterboard start each side by working the saws point up and down til u get through.be sure to use specific brackets for the job.
