How do power tube spacers work?
A power tube spacer kit comes with different lengths of spacers. When the gun is pressurized the pressure pushes the o-ring up against the spacer and the power tube tip stops the spacer. The longer the spacer, the farther back in the power tube the o-ring is seated. Put in a shorter spacer and the o-ring is allowed to seat closer to the tip. The spacers fix leaking or bolt stick problems. If the spacer is too long then the o-ring will be seated too far back and the bolt stem won’t seal on it. If the spacer is too short then the bolt stem will seal on the o-ring before it’s fully latched by the sear, thus causing bolt stick.
