How do pets earn talent points? How many do they get?
Pets get talent points based on their level. They earn their their first talent point at level 20, and 1 talent point every 4 levels after that. That means that at level 70, pets have at least 13 talent points to spend. At level 80, they have at least 16 talent points to spend. In addition if you purchase the 51-point hunter talent at the top of the Beast Mastery tree (called, confusingly, Beast Mastery) all of your pets will get 4 bonus talent points each to spend.
