Usually students who are blind learn the computer keyboard in elementary school sometimes after learning braille and sometimes as they are in the final stages around grade 2.5 or 3. Sometimes AS the are learning braille. They learn how to use certain key commands instead of the mouse with a screen reader which reads everything the sighted would see on the monitor.
