How do people who are visually impaired or blind read?
Some people read Braille, which is a series of six raised dots that form different letters of the alphabet depending on the combination of dots that are raised. They can also listen to audio books or magazines, or use a computer with voice and/or braille output capabilities. Some people with low vision hold books very close to their faces, or read with a magnifier or a closed circuit television screen that enlarges text.
