Throughout the academic year, the campuses are connected by “The Vern Express” (formerly the Foggy Bottom-Mount Vernon Campus Shuttle), a shuttle service that runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and offers up to 500 departures a day throughout the academic year, with more limited service provided during the summer and semester breaks. The travel time between campuses is approximately 10-15 minutes, which is comparable to the travel time between buildings on opposite ends of the Foggy Bottom Campus, although travel time on The Vern Express can be slightly longer during the morning and evening rush hour periods.
